Walking Warriors and Perpetual Pedestrians represented HRW again for the third time. The weather was quite favorable at the start and early morning but warmed up to the high 80’s before the journey to Lawrence ended. There were 8 veterans and 2 rookies this year, but one of the “rookies” was Dave Couts, the US Senior Games champion in the 55-59 division and a holder of many racewalking awards. Our two teams beat 19 teams in age- and gender-based running divisions. The mileage shown is approximate and the times shown are based on our own watches.
